Privacy policy for Higher Carthew Farm
Higher Carthew Farm’s owners, Jeremy and Jane Dunstan, are committed to protecting your privacy as a guest of Higher Carthew Farm. Any personal information shared with us including your name, address, telephone numbers and email addresses will remain confidential at all times. We do not ask for anyone’s ethnicity, religion, health issues, sexuality or dates of birth.
Email addresses of guests are also stored on our own password-protected computer purely for communication purposes. The computer has a firewall and anti-virus software in place.
Some guests book via third-party marketing organisations. If this is the case, guests fill in a guest registration card on arrival. We ask for the guest’s name, address, telephone number and email address. We input this information into the secure database and then destroy the cards. We do not deal directly with guest payments by credit or debit card – the majority of payments are dealt with by Worldpay. A few send personal cheques or pay by bank transfer. We do not retain any bank details.
Information collected is used for contacting you and checking any requirements before your stay. We retain your details after your stay so that we can keep in touch with you and also to make the rebooking process simpler. You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you.
